The roving van is hoping to turn Blue Monday orange.
We’re all familiar with Blue Monday now, right? It’s the belief that the third Monday in January is the most depressing day of the year – and whilst the concept is almost complete nonsense, that doesn’t mean we can’t milk it for a free drink or two. To which end, an Aperol Spritz delivery van will be whizzing across the capital on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd January, brightening up your day with a touch of orange fizz.
The cute-as-you-like van, which embarked upon a similarly noble quest over the summer, will be turning up at the doorstep of thirsty Londoners, and furnishing them with two Aperol Spritzes, served from the van’s own bar. Yes, I want this van too. You’ll need to sign up on their website to be in with a chance of winning their “Aperol-ivery” (nope, I don’t see that catching on either), and the van with hopefully pitch up with your complimentary drinks between 4-10pm.
Of course, with two free drinks turning up, they’re implying you should bring a friend to quaff one. Still, I won’t be judging if you keep them both for yourself – it is still January, after all…
